Biography

Paul C. O’Bryan joined Tilford, Dobbins & Schmidt, PLLC in 2022, where he focuses his practice on assisting people in the areas of Probate, Probate litigation, Estate Planning and Family Law. Paul is also a court-approved and certified mediator.

 Prior to joining TD&S, Paul spent 21 years with a small Dixie Highway firm gaining experience in drafting simple and complex estate plans, wills, trust, Power of Attorneys, Deeds and contracts. In District Courts, Paul regularly assisted clients with Guardianships, Probate Administration, Will Challenges and other Probate litigation. He prosecuted Divorces, Domestic Violence Orders, Mediation, Custody and Child Support actions as well as Pre-Divorce Mediation in Family Courts. Paul has experience in Circuit Courts with civil litigation and appeals.

 Paul has written manuals and lectured on various topics, including the Probate Process and Elder Law to attorneys and other professional groups. Paul has also donated his time and legal services to individuals and groups such as GuardiaCare, the Access Center Partnership and Louisville Bar Association. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters (and two dogs!) as well as home renovation projects and mountain biking.
